Early
Intervention Services
 |
|
Since 1979, the Parent
Education- Infant Development (PE-ID) is an Early Intervention
Program for infants and toddlers with developmental delays
aged birth to 36 months who live in the City of Fredericksburg
or the Counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania,
and Stafford. PE-ID is a program of the Rappahannock Area
Community Services Board (RACSB).
PE-ID is the service provider for the Infant & Toddler Connection of the Rappahannock Area, part of Virginia's outreach program to increase awareness of early intervention services throughout the state.
Developmental screenings and evaluations to determine Part C eligibility are provided at no cost to families. |
The program believes
all children have the right to reach their fullest potential. The
purpose of the program is to provide help to parents of
infants and toddlers with developmental delays so further problems
can be avoided and delays minimized.
The professionals of the PEID team support families in addressing developmental delays, feeding and sleep concerns, social, behavioral and sensory concerns, and the early identification and intervention of autism.
