  • 13-71 Program Manager for the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program for Health Planning Region I (full-time): This position oversees operation of the grant-funded Wounded Warrior project for Health Planning Region I. The successful candidate should possess: Thorough knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of stress related issues relating to combat and military service and related individual group and family therapy and counseling techniques and practices, particularly as these relate to military personnel, veterans and their families; thorough knowledge of individual management guidelines for Virginia; thorough knowledge of military culture; good knowledge of office management practices.   • 13-66 Child and Adolescent Therapist at Safe Harbor, 4702 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, Virginia (Virginia License Eligible) (full-time):  This position provides direct therapeutic treatment and educational services to children, adolescents, and their families who have experienced sexual trauma.  The successful candidate should possess:  Thorough knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of the children and adolescents who are the victim of sexual trauma and their families.  Ability to complete assessments, provide individual, group, family therapy as well as psycho-educational groups.  Knowledge about counseling practices and techniques including multiple treatment modalities.  Through knowledge of: principles of children and adolescent psychology, physical and intellectual development; the pr8inciples of family and group dynamics; consumer management guidelines for Virginia.  Strong knowledge of substance use disorders as they related to trauma victims and their families.   • 13-63 Mental Health Residential Counselor I at Lafayette Board House in the City of Fredericksburg County (full-time): Supervises and provides independent living skills instruction to long-term mentally ill adults in a residential or home setting.   • 13-54 Mental Health Nurse at the Fredericksburg Clinic (part-time): This position assists the staff psychiatrists in the prescription, administration and monitoring of medications.   • 12-134 Psychiatrist (full-time): This position performs medical, diagnostic, and treatment services for the agency’s outpatients receiving services. INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY SERVICES

  • 13-78 Intellectual Disability Residential Specialist (full-time):  Provides intensive in‑home living skills training and assistance to severely disabled persons with intellectual disabilities to prevent institutional placement.  Individuals involved are primarily participants in the Medicaid Waiver Residential program. The successful candidate should possess: Good knowledge of the principles of intellectual disabilities as well as the principles and techniques of effective communication and decision-making. Knowledge of: the treatment modalities and intervention techniques, such as behavior management, independent living skills training, supportive counseling, family education, crisis intervention, discharge planning and service coordination; of different types of assessments, including functional assessment, and their uses in service planning; individual rights. Ability to: establish effective working relationships with others; prepare written correspondence and detailed reports and to maintain individual records; establish and maintain rapport with the individual population; function calmly in stressful situations; be persistent and remain objective; work independently; communicate effective, verbally and in writing. Skill in: observing, recording, and reporting on an individual's func­tioning; identifying and documenting an individual's needs for resources, services and other supports; using information from assessments, evaluations, observation and interviews to develop service plans; identifying services within the community and established service system to meet individual's needs; formulating, writing, and imple­menting individualized service plans to reach goal attainment for seriously intellectually disabled persons. Bachelor’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences and some experience involving persons with intellectual disabilities, or equivalent education and experience.   • 13-76 Day Support Aide at Rappahannock Adult Activities (part-time): This position assists in implementing instructional programs for individuals who are intellectually disabled/developmentally delayed at the Rappahannock Adult Activities Day Support Program. The successful candidate will have the ability to: communicate effectively, orally and in writing; relate well to people with mental and emotional problems; keep accurate records and prepare reports; establish and maintain effective working relationships; respond to crisis situations both behaviorally and medically; engage people with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings with meaningful activities that are entertaining and provide choices for the individual; and work in a commercial kitchen under close supervision.   • 13-45 Intermediate Care Facility Nurse Manager (full-time): The person in this position will provide the lead supports for nursing systems for eight (8) individuals with Intellectual Disabilities in an ICF/IDD residential setting. This person will be responsible for providing hands-on person centered care, coordinating the medical needs of the individuals, their clinical services and training the staff on medication administration and methods, personal care, care plan changes and proper equipment techniques. The nurse will be part of the interdisciplinary team and responsible for quarterly evaluations and annual person centered plan, along with attending appointments with the individuals (transporting in agency van), follow up on physician orders/lab work, and interfacing with pharmacy professionals. Must have the ability to learn and demonstrate compliance with certification regulations, licensing regulations for residential facilities and other applicable local, state and federal laws. The person in this position maybe called upon to provide support or service to other parts of the RACSB. The successful candidate for this position will be an experienced Registered Nurse. Monday through Friday schedule. This person will also possess a valid Virginia Registered Nurse license and a Virginia driver’s license with acceptable driving record.   • 13-46 Day Support Counselor at Rappahannock Adult Activities (part-time): This position collects data, instructs and monitors adults with intellectual disabilities in basic social, personal, leisure and vocational skills in a community based setting.   • 13-49, 13-50, 13-75, and 13-77 Day Support Specialist at Rappahannock Adult Activities (four positions; part-time): This position develops and implements an instructional program for the development of independent living and vocational skills of adults with intellectual disabilities in an activity center and on-the-job training program. The successful candidate will possess: thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of rehabilitative vocational training and Medicaid programming for day support; good knowledge of social case work management including needs assessment and supportive level counseling; skill in conducting training on an individual and group basis; ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; ability to relate well to people with mental and emotional problems; ability to keep accurate records and prepare daily reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the individuals served, families, significant others and other staff; good physical condition. Good knowledge of: counseling principles, practices, and techniques; the principles and techniques of group training; the management principles and practices applicable to human services programs; social casework management, including needs assessment; common budgeting and fiscal control practices. Excellent public speaking and written communication skills. Ability to: establish effective working relationships with other service providers, community groups, and individuals' families; research and prepare technical reports and other documentation. Demonstrated ability to supervise and train a large staff. Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences and considerable experience in developmental training for the intellectually disabled. This position qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus and $2,000 relocation assistance.

  • 13-20 Early Intervention Professional (Speech-Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist or Special Educator) (full-time or part-time): Position provides early intervention services to developmentally delayed and/or physically handicapped infants age birth to 3 years and their families. Participates as a member of a transdisciplinary team engaged in the global development of the participating infant. The successful candidate should possess: Thorough knowledge of infant/child development, disabilities, and the theories, principles, practices and techniques of related therapeutic treatment; thorough knowledge of supportive counseling techniques; good skills in teaching methods relevant to infants/children; ability to maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families, staff and others; ability to communicate well, orally and in writing. Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) and Licensure by the Department of Health Professionals of Virginia; some professional experience with developmentally disabled/delayed infants and their families. Valid Virginia driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Annual salary: Negotiable + benefits.


TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

  • 13-79 Van Driver (part-time): Provides safe and timely transportation for individuals with various physical and/or mental disabilities to and from their residences to various developmental programs provided by the Agency. The successful candidate will possess: thorough knowledge of the operating and safety practices and techniques related to driving a passenger vehicle; thorough knowledge of state and local laws governing vehicular movement on public thoroughfares; good knowledge of routine preventive maintenance practices and common mechanical failures related to the vehicle operated; good knowledge of the regional geography and major road systems; good knowledge of emergency first aid and CPR techniques; good skill in the operation of a motor vehicle; some knowledge of the common behavior of the population of individuals served by RACSB; good physical condition required to provide assistance to individuals entering and exiting the vehicles; ability to handle crisis situations and relate well with individuals served, their families and agency staff. The successful candidate must be able to work a split shift A.M./P.M., Monday through Friday. High school diploma or its equivalent and considerable driving experience, including paid experience in transporting others. Valid Virginia driver’s license with acceptable driving record required. Hourly rate: $12.14.
