Welcome to the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board’s Purchasing Department. As an agency of local government, RACSB follows the code of ethics and purchasing laws set forth in the Virginia Public Procurement Act and the Virginia Community Services Board Procurement Manual. As a steward of public funds, the goal of this purchasing department is to obtain maximum quality goods and services at a reasonable price as a result of business conducted in a fair and impartial manner. Gifts from vendors are not accepted. Minority and women owned, or faith-based businesses are encouraged to respond to any and all solicitations. Purchases made by the Community Services Board include such items as office supplies and equipment, medical and testing supplies, all types of facility services and maintenance contracts, food service supplies and equipment, as well as vehicles and appliances.
