Substance
Abuse Residential Services
Residents
of Planning District 16 may receive social detoxification
and residential substance abuse treatment through RACSB’s
contracts with public and private, non-profit agencies. Typically, these more intensive services are utilized when less restrictive options, including outpatient treatment, have not been successful. Eligible
consumers receive funding for these services through federal
funds allocated through the Department of Mental Health, Mental
Retardation and Substance Abuse Services.
These
agencies currently include: New Hope Detoxification Center in Staunton
(social, non-medical detoxification); Boxwood in Culpeper
(intensive residential treatment services for adults); Serenity
Home, Inc. in Fredericksburg (intensive residential treatment
and half-way house services for adult males); Arise Treatment Center in Lynchburg (medically-assisted detoxification services), and Willow Oaks
in Cartersville (intensive residential treatment for adults
with an additional focus on dually-diagnosed consumers).
